Syrio got his ARCHEX!
It was a fun (and hot!) weekend at Breakaway Action Dogs in Frederick, MD at the World Cynosport Rally Limited (WCRL) trial.
Our Goals for the Trial
- Have fun!
- Finish Syrio’s ARCHEX title.
- Finish Jadzia’s RL1 and R2 titles.
Jadzia is Sooooooo Over Rally (LOL!)
Jadzia is my agility dog, but she had surgery to correct a luxating patella (loose kneecap) in December 2021. At the moment, she is still working to regain muscle for her triumphant return to agility trials in July.
She thinks rally is utterly stupid and gave me the stink-eye when she realized that she only got to do one jump in Level 2. That being said, she played along and had great scores. She finished her Level 1A and Level 2A titles and is excused from having to come along with her brother to rally trials (for now).
Jadzia’s Scores:
- Level 1A – 200 – 2nd place
- Level 1B – 205
- Level 1B – 207
- Level 2A – 203 – 1st place
- Level 2A – 192 – 1st place
- Level 2A – 203 – 1st place
Syrio is an All Rally Champion Extraordinaire!
Syrio was so pumped to be at rally and both judges remarked at how happy and enthusiastic he was to be in the ring with me. We even got our very first PERFECT SCORE (210). Thanks, Judge Joan!!
We got the final 3 QQs we needed to get the big honkin’ ARCHEX ribbon.

Training Goals
Of course, no trial wrap-up would be complete without training goals!
Jadzia
No rally-specific goals. We’re working on our strength exercises for rehab so she can be agility ready!
Syrio
Get better stimulus control
He occasionally decides that “Stay” means “Down.” Why? Who knows?
Keep rocking reverse heel
Syrio has gotten a lot better in recent months but this still needs regular practice.

Syrio’s next rally trial is June 12th at Breakaway Action Dogs.
