My headfirst dive into dog behavior began when I adopted Titania, a fearful cocker spaniel. I discovered my passion for fearful dog rehab, most recently working with cocker mixes rescued from a backyard breeder.
In 2012, as part of Titania’s rehabilitation, we tried an agility class. Little by little, her confidence grew! I started with a dog who would hide behind my legs and ended up with one who traveled around the mid-Atlantic competing in agility trials.
I love teaching people and their dogs how to understand one another and work together as a team.

It’s dangerous to go alone.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention some of the amazing people who help make Foley’s Dog Training — and me! — better every day.
Amanda Shyne, Ph.D.
My mentor, teacher, & friend
Amanda is not only an exceptional agility handler and dog trainer, but she really gets how to teach people agility. What I love most about her is that she is always looking for ways to improve the way she teaches — even though she’s already amazing.
I help her out with technology & marketing, and she lets me share her awesome tutorial videos with my students.

Kristina Maze
Agility Instructor
Kristina and I met years ago at a CPE agility trial. She and her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Kingsley, were the team to watch – sometimes even beating the border collies in the 16″ class! Kingsley went on to several championships in CPE and AKC before retiring. She is now raising the next generation of agility dogs – Norwegian Lundehund sisters named Anya and Dagny.
Evann O’Donnell
Agility Instructor
Evann is a rising star and Kristina and I are so lucky to be able to mentor her! She has done amazing work training and earning titles with Roxie, her Staffy mix.
She started as an assistant instructor in Kristina’s classes at Humane Rescue Alliance and has taken on her own Agility for Fun classes at HRA as of Summer 2021.
