Here are the different venues where you can compete with your rally dog.

Locations for Trials

The majority of trials in the DC region are indoors on mats or artificial turf.

Some are dog training facilities but others are sports centers that also have human sports. If your dog tends to have potty accidents, it’s best to avoid places with artificial turf until you have that under control.

Important!

The PHYSICAL LOCATION of the trial is not the best place to get information about the event itself.

For that, you’ll want to go to the venue’s website (e.g., AKC, CWAGS, WCRL, etc.). Look for a document (PDF) called a premium. That will contain all the relevant details and contact information for the people running the show.

That being said, you can go to the location’s website to check out pictures and videos and get a feel of what it’s like. Or look it up on YouTube and find rally videos taken at previous trials!
